INTRODUCTION
Disposal of waste materials pose serious environmental issues . Utilization of
waste materials such as industrial or agricultural waste in the concrete
production eventually reduces the environmental impacts.
An alternative method is needed to reduce the emission of CO2 and making a
way for solid waste management system as well and producing an Ultra High
Strength Concrete that is Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC).
As a solution to mitigate the environmental impact of concrete is to minimize
its cement content , which can be achieved by easily available Supplementary
Cementitious Material (SCM), like Rice Husk Ash (RHA) and Sugar-cane
Bagasse Ash(SCBA), which are used as the partial replacement of cement
without any adverse effect on the properties of concrete.

OBJECTIVES

To transform rice husk and sugar-cane bagasse from an environmental

concern to a useful resource for the production of highly effective
supplementary material.
 Studying the performance of RHA and SCBA blended cement concrete with
ordinary portland cement and to measure their mechanical properties .
To measure the mechanical properties of RHA and SCBA blended cement
concretes at cement replacement levels at various curing periods.
To minimize the cost of construction using SCM in construction industry.
Solving environmental issues caused by cement production by utilizing
agricultural solid waste which improve rural economy by minimizing the
cost of construction.
