TYPES OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
For many people in the construction industry, the “type” of construction
project refers to the actual facility being constructed. There are different
construction types:

 Residential building construction


 Industrial construction
 Commercial building construction
 Infrastructure construction
RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

Residential construction projects focus on buildings where


people live. Some examples of residential construction
projects are: apartments, houses, housing complex.
COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION

Commercial construction refers to the construction of a building


for a commercial purpose. some of the different types of
commercial construction projects are: restaurants, office
buildings, malls, schools.
INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION

Industrial construction involves building large-scale production facilities.


Many construction companies complete industrial construction projects
for corporations. These projects include: power plants, manufacturing
plants, refineries.
INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION

Also known as civil construction, infrastructure construction


involves structures like airports, roads, bridges, tunnels.
