• The aluminum door frame are made from extruded aluminum sections.
• The channel and box sections have flanges and grove for double glazing and
weather stripping
• The glazed doors are commonly advertised as “patio doors”.
• Aluminium is conductive material
• Heat transmission can be reduced by separating the Alu profile in 2 parts using an
insulating material to reduce the thermal expansion
• Conductivity of aluminium – 160W/mk
