 INTRODUCTION

• Since my first visit at Maruti Suzuki Gurgaon plant, I was first

briefed about the details of my department and the different
departments that come under the MSTA (Maruti Suzuki
Training Academy).
• I was given information about the different projects assigned
to me and instructed on how to approach them.

• The first project discussed was the making of WIS (work instruction
sheet).
• The procedure of making a WIS includes observing the working of the
machine and then listing all the basic steps that are required in
operating it.
• From the sample WIS I understood that I also had to instruct about
certain safety precautions that would be required to be kept in mind
while operating the machines.

• The second project includes the updating of previous finishing school

layouts while construction of a new one for the driver training school
using CAD/CAM.
• For this I need to first observe the present layouts and also observe the
different finishing schools for the things that can be upgraded.
• Next I need to use my CAD/CAM software skills to create sample layout
for the driver training center.

• For my next project I was study and analyze the incoming vendor truck
movement to optimize productivity and training of the truck drivers.
• For this I would have to study and learn the in depth analysis of all the
OR models in details.
• Next I would have to create and optimized route and movement that
will not enlarge the traffic issue within the plant and also allow most of
the drivers to be trained at the driver training center.
