Extract from Desiderata: Words for life by Max Enhrmann
(1927)

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;

it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Open Discussion Question:

1) Carefully read the extract please take

three minutes to internalize its deeper
meanings and to relate this to your
contracting business
Question: In view of the foregoing discussion on
the range, scope and sources of small contracts,
given your specific experiences in searching for, or
securing contracts, do you think that your
enterprise should continue its current approach?
Do you feel that your enterprise can benefit from
diversifying a bit? Or are you now more resolved
to keep within your proven strength/s?
