Fill in the blanks using the phrases below.

 Asking politely
Example
You want to enter to a friend´s bathroom. Would you mind lending me your bathroom?

1 It´s a hot day; you want your classmate to open the door.
2 You need money, ask your partner if he/she can lend you some money.
3 It´s freezing cold and your partner has an extra coat, ask him/her if you can use it.
4 You have an exam, but you forgot your pen, ask if you can borrow one.
5 Your friend asks you to drive him/her to the subway.
6 You enter to your friend´s house and it´s so beautiful, ask him/her to look around.
7 In a friend´s house you want to smoke, ask him/her if you can.
8 You ran out of t-shirts; ask your friend if he/she can give you one.
9 You lost your cellphone, ask your partner if you can use his/hers.
 Role-play
Student A
You are Don Barnes and you are finally having
lunch with Mr. James. Ask the following questions
about the new factory he is building.
Where is the factory?
How much does it cost to build the factory?
When will the factory be ready?
What products does the factory make?
End by saying: I´m sorry I can´t help you because…
OR I´d be delighted to help you…
Student B
You are Mr. James and you are finally having lunch
with Don Barnes.
You want Don to help you build a new factory. Use
the information below to answer his questions.
The factory is in Texas.
It will cost 1 million dollars to build the Factory.
The Factory will be ready next year.
The Factory will make household electrical products.
End by saying: I´m sorry you can´t help me because…
OR It´s great that you can help me…

to open his /her own business.
Tell 2 necessities or rules for the following places:
