Feminism from Zeenath

Kausar’s “Critique of
Feminism” in Modern
Western Political Ideologies:
An Islamic Critique (2014)
 Islam is a complete system of life and therefore
does not accept any concept of secularization or
any comparmentalization into religious and non-
religious aspects of life.
 Islam emphasizes that Allah S.W.T. had provided
basic and broad guidance (hidayah) equally to men
and women for all aspects of life, private and
public. (Kausar, 188)
 Therefore in Islam, all issues and questions
concerning man and woman, whether familial or
public, should be referred to the Quran and the
Sunnah so that they can get the better solutions for
all their problems and issues of life, and nothing
should be left to the whims and fancies of people.
(Kausar, 189)
 Italso perceives men and women as co-
vicegerents of Allah S.W.T. , who are created to
establish His injunctions in all dimensions of life,
to establish justice on the earth and ultimately to
attain the pleasure of Allah S.W.T. to be successful
here and in the hereafter. (Kausar, 191)
 “Islam offers women rights for education, for
participation in social structure. Islam has also
made it clear to them that there will be no
discrimination against women for all the
enjoyment of these rights and that they would be
rewarded equally for all their deeds.” (Kausar,
192)
The Quran says:
 “And their Lord hath accepted them, and answered
them: “Never will I suffer to be lost the work of
any of you, be he male or female. Ye are members,
one of another.”” 3:195

The Quran 16: 97
 “Whoever works righteousness, man or woman,
and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new
Life, a life that is good and pure and We will
bestow on such reward according to the best their
actions ” (16: 97).
 The end.
