Do you think Amazon is spreading itself
too thin?
• In my opinion they are not
• They seek to be the largest e-commerce business globally
• Amazon’s expansion and diversification have played a significant role in the company's rise.
Amazon’s Competitors
Amazon Web Services (AWS),
• Cloud platform offered by Amazon.com Inc (AMZN),
• AWS is made up of many different cloud computing products and services such as servers, storage,
networking, remote computing, email, mobile development, and security.
• AWS is a cloud infrastructure and companies pay for what they use.
• There’s no upfront cost to build a storage system and no need to estimate usage.
• This is beneficial for Amazon due to its flexible usage; it is cost efficient and primarily for its
security reasons. Amazon found that AWS met all of their requirements protecting data in flight,
data at rest, and utilizing suitable encryption standards.
