▫ Vermont is a state in the New England region

of the United States. It borders the states of
Massachusetts to the south, New Hampshire to Vermont
the east, and New York to the west, and the
Canadian province of Quebec to the north.
Vermont is the only state in New England that
does not border the Atlantic Ocean. Vermont is
the second-least-populated U.S. state after
Wyoming and the sixth-smallest by area of the
50 U.S. states with a recorded population of
643,503 according to the 2020 U.S. census.[5]
The state capital is Montpelier, the least-
populous state capital in the United States. The
most-populous city, Burlington, is the least-
populous city to be the most-populous city in a
state.
▫ Yellowstone National Park is an American national park located in the
western United States, largely in the northwest corner of Wyoming and
extending into Montana and Idaho. It was established by the U.S. Yellowstone National Park
Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1,
1872.Yellowstone was the first national park in the U.S. and is also
widely held to be the first national park in the world. The park is known
for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially the Old
Faithful geyser, one of its most popular. While it represents many types
of biomes, the subalpine forest is the most abundant. It is part of the
South Central Rockies forests ecoregion. While Native Americans have
lived in the Yellowstone region for at least 11,000 years, aside from
visits by mountain men during the early-to-mid-19th century, organized
exploration did not begin until the late 1860s. Management and control
of the park originally fell under the jurisdiction of the United States
Department of the Interior, the first Secretary of the Interior to supervise
the park being Columbus Delano. However, the U.S. Army was
eventually commissioned to oversee management of Yellowstone for a
30-year period between 1886 and 1916.
▫ Grand Canyon National Park, located in northwestern Arizona, is
the 15th site in the United States to have been named as a national Grand Canyon
park. The park's central feature is the Grand Canyon, a gorge of the National Park
Colorado River, which is often considered one of the Wonders of
the World. The park, which covers 1,217,262 acres (1,901.972 sq
mi; 4,926.08 km2) of unincorporated area in Coconino and
Mohave counties, received more than six million recreational
visitors in 2017, which is the second highest count of all American
national parks after Great Smoky Mountains National Park.[5] The
Grand Canyon was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO
in 1979. The park celebrated its 100th anniversary on February 26,
2019.The South Rim of the Grand Canyon attracts over 5 million
visitors each year and by far is the most visited side of the Canyon.
That’s because it is the most accessible and provides the most
amenities. As with all sides of the Canyon, the South Rim features
astounding views of what took Mother Nature millions and
millions of years to create. That why it has earned the distinction as
one of the world’s Seven Wonders.
