Purpose

⇒ To understand the difference in product sales between the day shift, night shift, and weekend shift

This report will discuss the following:

Hypothesis

- Null - There is no difference in mean product sales between shifts


- Alternative - There is a difference in mean product sales between shifts

* Primary data was collected by coworker from organizational records

Statistical tests used:

- Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)


- Alpha value = 0.05
Results & Discussion

F statistic - 176.97

F critical - 3.09

P-value = 6.27E-33

***We reject the null hypothesis


Results & Discussion

***Given the results, we can conclude that there IS a difference in product sales between shifts

- The results demonstrated a statistically significant difference in product sales between the three
groups, but not where that difference appears
- However, we cannot guarantee that this result is inferable to the population given the sample size

Recommendation - The organization should attempt to discern which group has the best and which group has
the worst average sales and attempt to figure out the underlying reason
