1. Simple Past: It is alone, but it’s used as a verb:
1. She received a very important letter.

2. Perfect form: have/has/had + verb +ed / irregular past participle form:


1. She has received a very important letter. (present perfect)
2. She had received a very important letter before. (past perfect)

3. Passive voice: verb to be + verb + ed / irregular past participle form.


1. The letter was received yesterday.
2. The letter is received every day.
