CONTEXTUALIZATION
Why, Where, When of the debate
Problem identification/Status Quo:

THW would implement a high beverage and fast food tax

Think about the problems and the their dimensions:
Health/obesity & economy too & govt ignoring responsibility to put the money in good
cause
Why contextualization is so necessary?
Most debate motions are given on specific context
Create the intuition to sell out the ideas you provide later to the adj

Way to do that:
SQ( Political spectrum, restricted rights, minority/ vulnerable people, why the SQ is
unfavourable and why they hemslves cant change)
Characterization

Finding key actors: Find key actors from the previous motion

WHY YOU NEED TO CHARACTERISE WELL?

Because it sells relevancy and the ground work of the debate
Ways to do it

THR the glorification of marriage

Burden and Burden Push
Things you need to prove in order to win this debate
Fix during prep time
Modelling/ policy:
*Find the steps and how you are going to implement a policy
* Why the model is the best solution
