This document summarizes a dataset containing measurements of three penguin species from Antarctica. It includes measurements of bill length, bill depth, flipper length, body mass, and sex of the penguins. Visualizations show relationships between the variables, such as a positive correlation between flipper length and bill length. There are more male penguins than female penguins in the dataset. The least common species is the Chinstrap penguin, so conservation efforts should focus on this species.

Visualization Presented By Vrushali J Guided by John Sir Data Exploration and Visualization Using Palmer Penguins Dataset
The rigorous study was conducted in the
islands of the Palmer Archipelago, Antarctica. These data were collected from 2007 to 2009 by Dr. Kristen Gorman with the Palmer Station Long Term Ecological Research Program part of the US Long Term Ecological Research Network. It is a dataset comprising various measurements of three different penguin species, namely Adelie, Gentoo, and Chinstrap. Palmer Archipelago is a group of islands off the northwestern coast of the Antarctic Peninsula Terms used in dataset Palmer Penguins Dataset
The dataset consists of 7 columns.
• species: penguin species (Chinstrap, Adélie, or Gentoo) • bill_length_mm: bill length (mm) • bill_depth_mm: bill depth (mm) • flipper_length_mm: flipper length (mm) • body_mass_g: body mass (g) • island: island name (Dream, Torgersen, or Biscoe) in the Palmer Archipelago (Antarctica) • sex: penguin male or female • What are flippers? Penguins wings are called flippers. They are flat, thin, and broad with a long, tapered shape and a blunt, rounded tip. Number of Species in Palmer Penguins Dataset
There are three types of species of Penguins:
Adelie : Most of the species is Adelie which are 44% with higher nos. in this Palmer Penguins Dataset. Gentoo : Later Adelie Gentoo is the species which are 36% present in this Palmer Penguins Dataset. Chinstrap : & last one is Chinstrap species is there with 20% only which means this is the very rare species in this Palmer Penguins Dataset. Body mass of the penguins
Mainly penguin’s weight in
between the range of 3200 gm to 4800 gm Very rare penguin's weight is beyond 5500 gm & less than 3000 gm Overall range of weight of Penguins is 2600 gm to 6300 gm Flipper length vs Bill Length
As flipper length is increased bill
length is also increases. By seeing in this plot also we can see that we have some outliers Here positive highest association between flipper length & bill length Complete Data Visualization of Palmer Penguins Dataset
Here we can see there is positive
correlation between every parameter Number of island vs Bill Depth
By comparing with bill depth we can
see Torgersen & Dream island have more penguins with more than 17.5 mm depth Biscoe island have less penguins with 15.7 mm bill depth Number of island vs Bill Depth
No. of male penguins are more than
female penguins by comparing with body mass of the penguins No. of female penguins are less than male penguins Correlation Coefficient Conclusion • We have very less species of Chinstrap so we can save them or do needful to increase this species to see in future also. • Male Penguins are more than female penguins.
