Our Solution
We propose a hybrid diagnosis method combining Microscopy and ML/AI
algorithms.

Develop a rapid, highly sensitive diagnostic tool for the diagnosis of breast cancer, to increase cancer
treatment efficacy and reduce overtreatment of tumors clinically suspicious for malignancy.

OLS 5 Experience
Collecting a large amount of data when tackling a completely new task can be challenging, to say the least.

However—

Obtaining satisfactory model performance (think: model accuracy) using only a limited amount of data for
training is also tricky... if not impossible.

Fortunately, there is a solution that addresses this very problem, and it goes by the name of Transfer Learning.

The Steps in Transfer learning are:

1. Obtain pre-trained model

2. Create a base model
3. Freeze layers
4. Add new trainable layers
5. Train the new layers
6. Fine-tune your model
