OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY To analyze the Market for EVA and PU footwear To find out the product awareness of EVA and PU products To know the demand for EVA and PU products in the market To find out the retailers satisfaction level towards EVA and PU products in the market To suggest and recommend the ways to improve the products

RESEARCH DESIGN A research design is purely and simply the framework or plan for a study that guides the collection and analysis of data. Generally a research design is a blue print of the research that is to be followed in completing the study. Sample size Sample size is 80 Research Instrument Questionnaire was used to conduct the survey which includes open-ended and closed ended questions

TOOLS FOR ANALYSIS The Analysis for this study is done on the basis of the data collection through a Questionnaire The tools used for data analysis are; Percentage Method Chi square test. Correlation. Weighted Average Method

FINDING OF THE STUDY


Based on EVA footwear From the table it is found that 100% of the respondents are aware of EVA footwear 46.3% of the respondents say that Papilon has good sales for EVA footwear 31.3% of the respondents say that Miami Cushion has good sales for EVA Footwear. 52.5% of the respondents say that Papilon provides more variety for EVA footwear. 35% of the respondents say that Miami Cushion provides more variety for EVA footwear. 68.8% of the respondents say that EVA footwear uses by the age of 25-35 class of people. 56.3% of the respondents say that EVA model reach well to men 26.3% of the respondents say that EVA model reach well to women 87.5% of the respondents are satisfied with EVA footwear of Miami Cushion 87.5% of the respondents say that complaints are rare regarding EVA footwear of Miami cushion. 87.5% of the respondents say that 100-200 price range EVA footwear move in the market for Miami cushion 100% of the respondents say that there is demand growth for EVA footwear in the market 56.3% of the respondents say that market share for EVA class of footwear belong to 40-70%

Based on PU footwear

From the table it is found that 87.5% of the respondents are aware of PU footwear 37.5% of the respondents say that Acraboks and Papilon have good sales for PU footwear 42.5% of the respondents say that Papilon provides more variety for PU footwear. 32.5% of the respondents say that Action provides more variety for PU footwear. 68.8% of the respondents say that PU footwear uses by the age of 25-35 class of people. 63.8% of the respondents say that PU model reach well to men. 23.8% of the respondents say that PU model reach well to women. 100% of the respondents say that there is demand growth for PU footwear in the market. 56.3% of the respondents say that market share for PU footwear belong to 10%-20% 87.5% of the respondents say that market share for Miami Cushion Hawai belong to 20%-40%. 56.3% of the respondents say that market share for Miami Cushion EVA belong to 20%-40% 87.5% of the respondents say that market share for Miami Cushion LEATHER belong to 10%-20%. Good sales for PU footwear and More variety for PU footwear are positively correlated. Good sales for EVA footwear and More variety for EVA footwear are positively correlated. Market share for PU footwear and class of people uses of PU footwear are not independent. Class of people uses PU footwear and PU model are not independent. It is inferred that respondents rank Papilon as first rank followed with Acraboks as second rank and Action, Others (unbranded) as third rank

SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS


1.BASED ON PRODUCT: For EVA and PU The organization can increase the demand of EVA footwear by increasing the quality like  Proper finishing,  Inserting proper buttons. 2. BASED ON VARIETY: For EVA and PU The organization can introduce kids footwear, by introducing more adjustment type with softness. The organization can introduce a kind of footwear in stylish way with water resistant. The organization can introduce more design for men, women at reasonable price because respondent may like to prefer Miami Cushion, but they feel there is less design in Miami Cushion. 3. BASED ON PROMOTIONAL For EVA:  The organization can give more advertisement to increase the sales for Miami Cushion ICE footwear. For PU:  Whenever PU footwear of new Miami Cushion product is launched it should reach the people by means of media, newspaper, etc  The fixation of price can be based on penetration price in order to attract the customers and capture the market.

CONCLUSION Most market analysis begins with a broad study of the overall industry and concludes with a narrow definition of the company's target market. Some of the industry factors that might be mentioned in a market analysis include the relative market share held by various competitors, the rate of new product introductions. A market analysis would also include overall market information such as sales history, current demand, and expected future trends. It is particularly important to know whether demand is increasing, decreasing, or remaining constant. Finally, the study may conclude that Miami Cushion EVA having second position in the market and also having moderate demand in puducherry, so the organization to increase the market share it has to increase more variety of footwears and also check the quality of footwear. It can also introduce attractive design at reasonable price to attract more respondents. The organization can also introduce both EVA & PU footwear for small kids too. If certain changes are made by Miami Cushion it can become a leading industry in footwear market.
