It is the traditional application of nail
polish to the entire nail plate. 1. Apply base coat.
Select color of the nail polish
according to the customer’s requirements Apply the base coat with long strokes. Start with the little finger and working toward the thumb. Allow it to dry 2. Apply liquid polish.
Apply the polish lightly and quickly,
using sweeping strokes from the base to the free edge of the nail. Apply polish down at the center of the nail, to the right and left side of the nail Repeat second coat of polish to both hands. 3. Remove excess polish. Dip a cotton-tipped orangewood stick into nail polish remover. Apply it carefully around the cuticles and nail edges.
4. Apply top or seal coat.
Apply a top or seal coat with long strokes in the same manner as the base coat. B. HALF-MOON
Half moon is a style that involves applying of
nail polish over the whole nail plate except the area of lunula. 1. Apply platinum twice on the nail. Allow it to dry.
2. Apply color enamel from one side to the other
side following the shape of the lunula. Repeat the application of color enamel if necessary.
3. Remove excess polish
4. Apply top coat.
C. HALF-MOON WITH TIP
It involves the application of colored polish over
the whole nail plate except the area of lunula and tip of the nail. 1. Apply platinum twice on the nail. Allow it to dry.
2. Apply color enamel from one side to the
other side following the shape of the lunula and the free edge. The edge should be seen.
3. Repeat the application of color enamel if
necessary.
4. Remove excess polish.
5. Apply top coat.
D. French Manicure or Tip Design
Variation 1
It is a design which involves the application of
colored polish over the whole part of the nail except the area of the free edge. 1. Apply base coat (platinum) twice. Allow it to dry.
2. Apply color enamel from one side to the other
following the shape of the tip or free edge.
3. Fill up other parts of the nail with color enamel
in the same way tip was done. Repeat the application of color enamel if necessary.
4. Remove excess polish.
5. Apply top coat..
French Manicure or Tip Design
Variation 2
It involves the application of white nail polish or
colored polish on the tips and coating the rest of the nail with a sheer polish . It’s suitable for short nails and those with moderate length of nails. 1. Apply base coat (platinum) twice. Allow it to dry
2. Apply a coat of translucent pink polish over
your entire nail.
3. Apply white or color enamel following the
shape of the free edge. Apply second coating, if necessary.
4. Remove excess polish.
5. Apply top coat
E. ELEPHANT TUSK
Elephant tusk is a style that involves the
application of nail polish to create S curve, leaving a slightly larger gap along the nail walls. 1. Apply platinum twice. Allow it to dry.
2. Make the half circle design at the inner side
of the nail.
3. Shape the other side, following an S-like.
4. Fill the other side to complete the design.
Repeat the application of color enamel if necessary.
