It is any plant or vegetation, excluding
fungi, interfering with the objectives or
requirements of people.
It is a plant that is especially successful at
colonizing and proliferating disturbed sites
It is a plant growing where it is not wanted.

Morphology
It deals on structure and form.
Life cycle
It focus on how the weeds developed.
MORPHOLOGY
Monocotyledon
One cotyledon or one embryonic leaf
Eg. grasses, sedges, rushes
Dicotyledon
Two cotyledon or broadleaf plants
GRASSES
A long narrow leaves, parallel
veins, round hollow stem, leaves
are aligned up and down the stems
in 2 rows.
Bayakibok
Sedges
Similar to grasses but leaves are
aligned up and down the stem in 3
rows, stems are solid and triangular.
Broadleaved
Leaves have various shapes and
arrangement of veins, leaves are
wider than those of grasses and
sedges.
