It refers to the process of
covering the surface of the
ground with black plastic or
black polyethylene which has
excellent characteristics in
terms of weed control and effect
on the soil structure.
 BENEFITS OF
PLASTIC MULCHING
1. Earlier planting dates
The use of plastic mulch alters
soil temperature.
2. Soil moisture retention
Plastic mulches reduce the
amount of water loss from the
soil due to evaporation
3. Control weeds
Plastic mulches prevent sunlight
from the soil which can inhibit most
annual and perennial weeds.
4. Improved crop quality
Plastic mulches keep ripening
fruits off of the soil.

 "Bilang isang mamamayang Pilipino,

na aking matitipid
