Analog section mounted


230 volts given at phase and neutral Voltage successfully brought down to 0.36Vrms via resistor bridge

Controller section mounted


UART communication checked on Hyper terminal LCD interface (display results obtained) Current measured during active mode: 440uA

BATTERY BACKUP
Two batteries(lithium cells) employed
One specially to drive the push button
(while power cuts to take readings)

Another to exclusively provide Vdd to the chip


(so that the chip remains powered during power cuts from utility) (tampering prevented)

Worked with a reference board after bringing it to working condition PCB manufactured &assembled of TI-meter(single layer PCB) Software study LCD interface & coding for the same(obtained display results) Study of ARM literature PCB layout and assembled of ARM based meter(single-layer PCB) Study of LPCXpresso s/w tool & Implementation of sample programs like blinking LED, adc, external interrupt etc. on ARM M0 LPC1114 kit by NXP Study of IAR for MSP430 & ARM Theoretical comparison Software bug issue in TI-based meter Software modules of ARM- based meter
