1. WAS EGIBI'S FAMILY ENTREPRENEURIAL
ENOUGH IN THE CURRENT PARALLELS OF
ENTREPRENEURSHIP?
 Entrepreneurship by definition is ability/mindset to solve a problem through a business model
and make profits from it.

 What Egibi family did show us was limited liability , stringent partnership .It did show is
stakeholders/investors who could give the initial capital and an active partner can do the rest of
the work , at the end of which there is profit division
 There was missing part of the technology which we understand in our time as a key to
innovation and successful product.
 The current entrepreneurial ecosystem strives in solving problems and not just trade.
 There was also no mention of creating new product, so it might just not be enough to state this
as current parallel of entrepreneurship.
2. DOES THE FAMILY QUALIFY
AS CAPITALISTIC IN ITS OUTLOOK?
The following observations were made after the study:
 Private ownership of resources.
 Moving from one revenue generating stream to other, which is typically a capitalistic
mindset(movement from date/onion trading to real estate).
 Production of wealth and creating a mass divide in the structure of socio-economic class.
 Marriage as a capitalistic engagement was predominant(exchange of wealth).
3. WHAT WERE THE PREVAILING ECONOMIC
& INSTITUTIONAL CONDITIONS?
The point of having a temple and using them as a source/medium for economic benefits, does
tell us a lot about the structure .
The temple were wealth corners for the traditional upper class strata. A similar structure were
observed in various regions , showing how much influence a temple could have over a
monarchic state.
Separate royal judge for the king, whose appointment and dis-engagement is still an ambiguity,
which might give an angle towards the power of king in matters of judiciary
This is reinforced when Egibi family enters into the positions of judiciary , where a tremendous
wealth making family may naturally be inclined towards administrative and judiciary powers of
the state
