HOUSEKEEPING
•Scholars will engage in a research project to learn more about one of
16 career clusters. They will take the role of a career counselor and give an
informative presentation to high school scholars who are learning about careers
available to them.
•All careers used/assigned should be high status jobs, not entry level jobs.
They should be “Career Goals” type jobs.
•Goal: Scholars will research a career cluster, 3 of the pathways within the cluster,
and highlight one job within one of the pathways. Scholars will practice research
skills, public speaking, and learn about the breadth of careers available.
•Role: Career Counselor
•Audience: High school scholars
•The 16 clusters are:
