Introduction
Good morning Miss Alejandrina and classmates. My name is Elizabeth figueroa
Chavez . I am 20 years old. I live in Huarmey .I am studying administration and
international business at the Catholic University Sedes Sapientiae.
In this opportunity i'm going to talk about inspirational people in this case : Selena
Quintanilla

Selena Quintanilla
Selena Quintanilla was born in Lake Jackson, Texas,
in April 1971. She was interested in music from a
very young age, her father, Mr. Quintanilla, noticed
her musical abilities when she was six years old.
An event in Selena's life was important in achieving
her goals and supporting her family.. In 1981 in Lake
Jackson, the Quintanilla family opened the first Tex-
Mex restaurant, Papa Gayo's, where Selena and
hers used to perform, her brothers Abraham III (on
bass) and Suzette Quintanilla (on drums).
3 The following year, the restaurant was forced to close
after a recession caused by excess oil.
They settled in Corpus Christi. She debuted on the
music scene as a member of the band Selena y Los
Dinos, which also included her elder siblings A.B.
Quintanilla and Suzette Quintanilla
Her popularity grew after she won the Tejano Music
Award for Female Vocalist of The Year in 1987, which
she won nine consecutive times. She signed with EMI
Latin in 1989.
Another important achievement in her life was being
the forerunner and responsible for commercializing
Tejano music.

inspirational to you.?
I chose Selena because she was a talented and
hardworking woman since she was a child. Her
achievement as a singer inspired many women to
enter the world of entertainment.
It’s important to remember that sing and dance is a
very difficult profession because it’s so competitive.
Selena didn't have much free time, but she opened
two boutiques and recorded an album in English.
What’s more, his group "Selena y los Dinos won
awards as the best Texan group.
She shown me that anything is possible as long as you
try your best.
Finally I think Selena was a very hardworking and
talented person and I admire her a lot.
