PURPOSE

Proposal to improve the aroma cocoa transformation


process .This project seeks to carry out the development of
alternatives to improve the production of aroma or Premium
cocoa, which allow the proper use of cocoa in the
transformation processes carried out in the crops of small
farmers through of measurements and tools of industrial
engineering

In the development of the project, it is planned to identify the
processes in which improvement alternatives must be created and
how this project would impact the production and economy of small
farmers by being able to sell their product at a price higher than the
basic price standard in the market.
Success criteria

Good cocoa cultivation practices are needed. These


productions show waste in certain processes
Outcome/output:
 This project seeks the development of alternatives
for improvement, which allow the proper use of
cocoa in the transformation processes carried out,
which would financially improve the results of
small farmers
Milestones
• Determine the phases of the cocoa transformation
process that have the greatest loss of raw material,
 Analyze the processes through the time study
method that showed greater waste in the records
obtained during the harvest of Premium or aroma
cocoa

• Good agricultural practices and at the exact
time.

• Use of fertilizers and manures of the land

Team: The industrial engineering student Kelly Daniela
Quiroga Urrego participates in the project and my role is to
manage the new activities and processes that are to be developed in
the agricultural field.

students learning the execution of English in a

It takes time and disposition of the farmers to learn and execute new
processes. Engineers trained in different areas such as industry and
agriculture are needed, and lastly, support from the association of
cocoa growers in the area.
Constraints

That there is no disposition on the part of the


peasants and on the part of the association of
cocoa growers in the area
. Challenges

Many inconveniences may arise such as the time of the


farmers, the acceptance of new processes and the lack of
resources. But I am willing to face any difficulty that
appears during the execution of the project.
