The ability to access and make changes is restricted per silo, so no single account can access
everything.
• Zone 1 - DBA can only make changes to the database and send backup / request restore
• Zone 2 - Production RA can make changes to RA, but no access to databases or Vault
• Zone 3 - Vault RA can make changes to RA, but no access to database or production RA

Vault Access is opened by the gateway admin and the RA Admin grants the DBA access to the
Vault RA backups to the specific databases needed
• Conforms to the multiple keys required for entry (gateway and RA admin)
• Access is isolated only to the database backup needed by the DBA in the Vault RA
• After recovery is complete
• RA Admin removes DBA access
• Gateway Admin closes network access
• Audit report shows change history and RA Vault status

the following activities: Auditing
Reduced Network backup jobs for recoverability,
Congestion and overall Prep clones for non-prod,
Reduced Risk Costs
bandwidth requirements. Database recovery, associated with failed data
Capacity planning recovery and unplanned
downtime.
Summary
Most efficient backup/recovery possible
Minimal processing impact on PRODUCTION storage, SAN, servers, WAN
Use system resources for transacting business, not running backups
Provides validated recoverability
Never worry again about recoverability of backups (compliance/audit reports)
Real-Time view to recoverability status (mitigate risk, peace of mind)
Fully automated & simplified backup/recovery
Simplified deployment (no agents), administration, and operation (RMAN, OEM)
Fewer resources to manage faster backup, recovery, migrations (faster time to value)
Simplified and efficient database migrations
Reduces downtown and increases reliability of database migrations
Protection from ransomware
Cyber vault architecture ensures backups are not impacted by malicious attacks
Very cost effective solution
Lower cost from greater efficiencies (people, process, technology)
