 Verb is a word that describes an action,
condition, or experience of something. In
indonesian, verbs are often to used for
shows activity of the subject in the
sentence
Types of Verb

1. Action verb
 An action verb is a verb that describes an action, like run, jump,
eat, cry, break, smile, or think that express something that a
person, animal, thing, or process does in nature.

Example : I think about my future

she watched a movie last night
I will go to the Palu next month
2. Linking verb
 Linking verb is a verb that serves to connect words in an
English sentence. The role of the linking verb in a sentence is to
explain the subject in the sentence. There are two types of
linking verb :
a. Verb of Sensation b. Verb of being
Feel Act
Look be (am, is, are, was, were, be, been, being.)
Smell Remain
Sound become
Taste continue

Example verb of sensation : Chocolate tastes better when you’re

hungry ( Taste]
Example verb of being : She acted arbitrarily.

3. Auxiliary verbs
Are verbs that are used to help clarify the main verb.
These verbs are used to express needs,
possibilities,abilities,requests and permission,as well
as orders.
Auxiliary verbs Function to help other verbs to show
tenses and speakers. Be consists of
am,is,are,was,were,be.

Example : Would you like a drink? ( Request )
