Clamor of Pope

Francis on the
alarming situation
of the Earth
LAUDATO SI
 Saint Francis of Assisi reminds
us that our common home is
like a sister with whom we
share our life and a beautiful
mother who opens her arms to
embrace us. “Brother Sun,
Sister Moon.”
 This sister now cries out to us
because of the harm we have
inflicted on her by our
irresponsible use and abuse of
the goods with which God has
endowed her.
LAUDATO SI
 The urgent challenge to protect our common home
includes a concern to bring the whole human family
together to seek a sustainable and integral development,
for we know that things can change. The Creator does
not abandon us; he never forsakes his loving plan or
repents of having created us.
 I urgently
appeal, then, for a new dialogue about how
we are shaping the future of our planet. We need a
conversation which includes everyone, since the
environmental challenge we are undergoing, and its
human roots, concern and affect us all.

St. Francis loved all of God's


creation; animals and plants,
humanity, rocks, wind and the
entire universe.

Francis prayed in nature and


discovered more about God
and himself through the
practice of contemplative
prayer in nature.
Relating to Creatures as Brothers & Sisters

St.Francis realized that he was truly a


brother to the sun, moon, stars, fire
and water, and to the whole cosmos.
Expressing his attitudes through a
simple and peaceful lifestyle
 Pope Francis frequently speaks about a
"throwaway culture" in which unwanted items
and unwanted people, such as the unborn, the
elderly, and the poor, are discarded as waste. ...
Francis stated that in a throwaway culture, even
human lives are seen as disposable.
 All of creation deserve love… respect.. Should not
be abused
Loving humanity
is loving ecology.

loving God.

kalikasan.bakit? Dahil tayo ay katiwala lang…

Live simply so that others may simply live.


Magtanim ng puno at halaman, hindi ng sama ng loob.
Piliin ang mas malinis at hindi mapaminsalang pamamaraan ng pagkuha ng
enerhiya.
