psychiatrists, but had not improvement
HISTORY
• Revealed that she faced the death of a close friend
and her grandmother in 6 months at the age of 11
• After experiencing the death of her father-in-law
developed a phobia in death
• She became a religious orator
• By performing so, she felt some sort of relief
SYMPTOMS
• She often became unconscious when she couldn't
get rid of the thoughts of her friends death
• lack of concentration
• Disturbed sleep
• Unreasonable repetition of different acts of routine
• Her daily routine was badly affected
• Depression
FEAR STIMULI IDENTIFICATION
THERAPY (FSIT)
• Based upon traumatic experience in early age of a
child
• Investigates and digs out such events from a
person’s unconscious
• Make the patient write on topics about the stimuli
• This makes the patient used to and understand the
topic better
• prevent further traumatic events
PROCEDURE
• Total 83 sessions of FSIT
• All online sessions

• First 7 to assess the condition


• Semistructured interviews were conducted with
Mrs. S.H. and her husband.
PROCEDURE
• In the rest of the session she wrote different topics
about death
• She was asked to put a cross mark for whenever she felt
stuck
• She was cross-questioned over the ideas mentioned in
the writing
• She went through a deep drowsiness when question was
too detailed
RESULTS
• By writing, she felt confident
about death
• Symptoms of disorder gradually
removed during therapy
• Her husband realized a huge
improvement
