Tides
 Are the regular rise and fall of sea levels around the
globe.
 Coastal areas experiences two high and two low tides
everyday.
 Tides depends on gravity.
High Tides
 Is when water covers much of the shore after rising to
its highest level.

Low Tides
 Is when the water retreats to its lowest level, moving
away from the shore.
Spring Tides
 When there is new moon or full moon, the three
celestial bodies are aligned. This means that the
gravitational forces of the sun and moon combine,
resulting in higher tides.
Neap Tides
 When there is a first quarter moon or a last quarter
moon, the sun and moon are at right angles to each
other in relation to earth.
