Calculates speed, distance, and

time
Let Us Multiply!

6 x 8 = 48
9 x 9= 81

5 x 4= 20
Let’s Divide!

9÷9= 1
50 ÷ 2 = 25

40 ÷ 5 = 8
What is the Meaning?

Speedometer or speed meter

is an instrument on a vehicle’s dashboard indicating its
speed.
Distance – is the total length between two positions.
Example: (Distance of Virac to Pandan) kilometers
Speed – is a scalar quantity that refers to “how fast an object is
moving” Speed can be thought of a rate by which an object covers
distance.
Example : 550 km/h
What is the Meaning?

Time – is the quantity measured or measurable period

during which an action process or Conditions exists or
continues.
Average speed – is a measure of the distance in a specific
amount of time.
Let’s Solve the Problem

Jonathan bought a new car. He drove his car

from Virac to Pandan at an average speed of 65
kilometers per hour, for a total of 3.5 hours. How
far did he travel?

Total Distance
VIRAC PANDAN
Distance= Speed x Time

Distance = 65 kph x 3.5 hours

= 227.5 kilometers

Answer : He traveled 227.5 kilometers
