About NGO

 I joined Think Planet as my NGO for internship.


 I found this NGO from internshala.
 This NGO was founded by a group of medical students 3 years before to
make mother earth sustainable.
 Getting inspired by Sadh Guru mainly they work to prevent soil from
being eroded and they remove plastic from society and to find
sustainable alternatives for plastics and other unbiodegradable waste.
 Till now more than 50k + plants and trees have been planted by NGO.
 Cleaned 800+ areas of different cities of India.
 And still to go more….
Vision And Mission of NGO

 Mission:
• To work upon reducing usage of plastics by alternative means.
• To prevent soil erosion by making people aware of the importance of soil.
• Growing and planting more trees around us and specifically in polluted
areas to reduce global warming.

 Vision: To make India more Sustainable and evergreen.


What NGO Offer

 Save soil from soil erosion:


• Introducing alternative for plastics in society and making them aware of it.
• Removing plastics from society.
• Aware people about difference between biodegradable waste and unbiodegradable waste.

 Uplifting Afforestation:
• Organizing events related to topics like how fusing technology with old farming method to make more
output out of it.
• We help and teach people about how to grow and plant different trees and crops and how to take care of
them.
WEEK-1

 I was invited to attend the induction program of internship on google


meet.
 Meeting was addressed by Director of NGO, Mr. Yogendra Verma.
 He enlightened us with his kind and motivational words about their NGO
and their past events.
 On day 2 and 3 different members addressed us with their knowledge
and experience in field of farming, plantation and use of different
agricultural practices.
 They motivated us and expressed their future expectations from us.
 They provided us the rest 3 weeks activity schedule.
Week-2

 I buyed the farming kit as per guidelines.


 Purchased seeds and sampling on which I have to work upon.
 Gone through the complete manual of using the farming kit. Paste
 Gained knowledge about different types of farming methods for different
crops. your
 It was time to work on field so I was ready with my equipment's to bang

 I started with area near my house and started digging and planting
eucalyptus plants nearby.

 Continued this activity for this week and visited places like public parks
and circle between roads.
WEEK-3

 After growing plants and sapling in different area I progressed


towards cleaning public areas.
 My friends joined me in this noble cause we worked almost 3 to 4 Paste your

hours a day.
We made many memories too while doing work.

 I arranged cages for sapling I sew to protect them from strong
winds and prey animals.
 Assembling cages around sapling was quite a tough task.
 At every end of day we use to have fruity or any other energy
drink as treat for hardwork.
WEEk-4

 Days passed out taking care of saplings and cleaning public places.
 Now it was time for event.
 I and my friends gathered and made road map for public awareness event in which
people will perform task while getting awaked.
 As learning marketing and promotion strategies we approach people and requested
them to join us for a noble cause.
 A huge number of people turned up so we worked according to roadmap, and
approach to success in event by solving challenges and problem and providing
solution for it.
 It was one of special moment in my life. I got a new passion to work upon and
serve the mother earth.
 After completing event we decided to organize this kind of events every month to
make this bond of people and nature alive.
Event Highlights

 Firstly we decided to make a road map to organize the event including timing, date,
goodies and the places to organize event.
 After deciding all the basic details we progressed towards promotional and
marketing strategies taught by Ngo members.
 We started giving informing people on social media using Instagram stories and
famous pages of our city. We used hashtags as ‘savemotherearth’.
 On day of event we went 1 hour before other and made arrangements for rest of
people and enthusiast.
 We arranged sapling and gloves and other equipment to entitle the project/event.
 Managing people was a tough challenge but we made it with motivation of staff
members.
 At end we distributed goodies and arranged a thanks giving ceremony for everyone.
Ending Ceremony

 As internship had come to an end with making memories, gaining knowledge and most
importantly finding passion for serving the Mother Earth.
 All the students who were in term of internship submitted the work and its report to NGO
staff members.
 Our work was being evolved and acknowledged.
 And I warded a certificate from NGO for my work.
 As I know that it was end of my internship but not the end of work I have to do towards
nature and its belongings.
Challenges Faced

 During online classes, tutorials and guest lectures internet


connectivity was an issue.
 I was never being to farming and planting so struggled a bit to
handle farming equipment.
 As it was summer time, so heat waves and hot weather was a
challenge at time of field work.
 Prey animals and strong winds were hazardous for small
sapling I sown during my second week.
 Working according to road map for event and handling the
crowd of people making them aware of using kit and how to
work according to plan.
Learning Outcomes

 Learned how local organizations/NGO works.


 Learned about different types alternatives that can be introduced to replace
plastic from nature and daily use.
 Learned how to grow new plants and saplings.
 Got knowledge about different farming practices in India and world.
 Learned how to use farming kit to plant trees and crops.
 Learned marketing strategies to make small event a big success.
 Founded a new passion as working towards protecting mother earth and help
her to become more clean and safe.
Conclusion

 I joined NGO/local organization and worked their as an intern for 30 days.


 Was excited to spend my summers in a productive way.
 In week 1 we were addressed by director and other staff members about NGO, its past event and future
expectations.
 I was given a surplus knowledge of plastic alternatives for daily life goals.
 How to stop soil erosion and stop use of harmful fertilizers. We were introduced by different farming practices.
 From week 2 I started working on field. Hence removing plastics from areas nearby my home and cleaning it.
 After cleaning area I started planting trees and different plants using the kit of farming.
Conclusion

 Slowly and slowly my friends and other people started joining me in my work including colony
members.
 We started visiting other public places and started cleaning them and planted trees there.
 Faced many challenges in our work but came up with prominent solutions to it.
 After getting engagement from public we decided to host an event.
 So I used all my marketing and promotional skills learned from NGO faculty to promote event along
with friends.
 Completed that event with grand success, resulting joining of more people protecting mother earth.
 My work was evaluated by NGO members and they granted me internship certificate.
