 Have self-awareness of their beliefs and potential biases
 Positive and proven emotional intelligence
 Understanding of their roles and expectations
 Proven time-management skills
 Proven leadership skills

• Being trusted to get the job done is the number one factor that defines job satisfaction.
• They want flexibility in the workplace.
• Success is finding a company they can stay with for a long time.
• Career development is the most valued form of recognition, even more so than pay
raises and enhanced titles” (Arnsparger, 2008, n.p.)
Process for
Selecting
Leaders
Leaders will be chosen by:
• An interview process of potential and willing candidates
• The interview will be conducted by the principal and assistant principal who oversees
that department
Each candidate will receive the same questions and be graded on the same rubric.

quarter for at least 10 minutes

Feedback should be provided either via email or in


person within 2 school days

The Google Form on our PLC canvas page should be


filled out following the observation
Teacher EXAMPLES
Ms. Williams is observed on Tuesday, her students are working
Observation: on a lab and Ms. Williams is seen helping students while
others work in groups.

Feedback should include references to student engagement as


well as any other items noticed. Feedback should be given to
Ms. Williams by Thursday and the form on Canvas filled out
as well

Support Staff Ms. Smith is working in a US History class 1:1 with a student.
She helps this student read his work aloud and dictates his
answers.

Feedback should reference Ms. Smith helping the student and


any other details observed.
