What are the challenges Unmad currently facing?

Answer: Currently Unmad are facing several challenges likes

 Availability of too many supplements. Like: Rosh Alo, Bicchu etc. So their Sales has been
affected
 Fail to attract the new customer due to lack of adequate advertisement
 Guardians are discouraging their kids to buy Unmad magazine as other weekly
magazine are available at free of cost
 Availability of too many alternative for the sake of recreation. Like: meme pages; weekly
magazine and other funny videos
Flaws in the strategy

 Fail to cope up with the dynamic change.


 Unwillingness to come out of their comfort zone
 Too much product oriented instead of being customer oriented
 Fail to launch enough marketing campaign
 Marketing myopia
Limitation of the case:

This case has certain limitations:


 It hasn’t discussed much about the financial analysis. Based on which people could have
got a clear assumption about Unmad’s financial condition.
 It hasn’t given enough solutions by applying which Unmad could have improved their
situation a bit. It has mostly talked about the drawbacks of Unmad.
 The case is mostly based on the statement given by the editor Mr. Ahsan Habib about
Unmad’s current situation. It doesn’t have any view of any other people.
Prediction in 10 years.

 Though it is difficult to make any assumption without proper financial data.it is difficult
to make any prediction. But When Unmad started at the beginning level it used to sell
around 30000 magazines per month but now they are selling around 6000-10000 per
month. So the sale has dropped drastically. So one thing can be predicted that if they don’t
redefine; restructure their model or magazine then probably after 10 years they may be
out of the market.
