Pornography causes men and women to lust after each other as sexual objects. It is enslaving, addictive, and destructive. It severely damages ones ability to respect and truly love someone of the opposite sex.

What we can say about homosexual acts:

Biologically, sexual intercourse refers to the joining of male & female sexual organs. It implies sexual differences. Thats why it is technically impossible for homosexuals to have sexual intercourse. Therefore, it is more accurate to use the term homosexual acts instead of homosexual sex. *

What we can say about homosexual acts:

A womans or mans body alone does not make sense--- they only make sense when they are seen in light of the other. It is the complementaritiesthe difference- that allows for unity. Homosexual acts are contrary to the natural law** because they do not involve the union of a man and woman in self-giving love open to the creation of new life. There is no conclusive scientific or theological explanation for why some individuals have samesex attractions.
** Natural law is a universal precept present in the heart of each man and established by reason (CCC n. 1956).

What we can say about persons with homosexual tendencies:

We are all daughters and sons of God. All persons with homosexual tendencies must be treated with respect, compassion and sensitivity. (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2358) All people, no matter their sexual orientation, are called to chastity.

Ask yourself: What is the best way that I can respect God, my friend, myself, and my future spouse?

Focus on the most pure, beautiful image of man and wife, and conform your actions to make that your future!

Never put yourself or another in a situation where you or they are fighting their body. Surround yourself with people who believe the same things you do. When you start a relationship, talk about how you will be living Gods plan. Every relationship you have should bring you closer to God. Avoid sins such as pornography and other negative behaviors (smoking, drugs, alcohol, drunkdriving) V 11

Way to Go
Find time to open your heart to Gods love and guidance. Admit when you need help. Seek grace and the strength to live Gods plan for sexuality in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Should you fail, seek forgiveness and the grace to change your heart in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
