1.Rule making action or quasi-legislative functions:


• Legislative functions vested with the legislature (Parliament and State
legislature)
• Legislative action of the administration consist of making rules,
regulations, bylaws etc.
-fixation of price (Union of India v. Cynamide India Ltd.)
-declaration of a place to be a market yard (Ramesh Chandra v. State of

-establishment of a municipal corporation under statutory provision
