A part of MBA curriculum Its the first time that Sem-II students get to know the corporate world. Duration of the programme is 45 days. Its the medium through which students get an idea of what is beyond the class room walls. Students select a topic of their interest and choice and apply that topic in the SIP company. At the end student need to prepare a report and submit it to respective faculty guide for further evaluation. Performance of students is judged during this SIP , strength and weakness is judged and students are prepared accordingly for final placement. It is through SIP, that faculties get to know as to how to strengthen the strengths and remove the weakness of the students.

 

To Match theory with practical inputs. To develop skills like Public relations Team building Handling pressure Meeting targets Corporate etiquette Time management, Interpersonal relations Leadership Problem solving skills Analytical skills and all those which are the demand of the present corporate world.

To increase knowledge in relation to specialization opted for.  To increase the chance of employability of students in company where he/she is undergoing SIP.  To build up good and long lasting relation between SIP company and the institutes of the intern.  To modify if possible the SIP report to final project.


To make themselves placed in companies of their own choice and if not, to accept the companies which college authorities will offer to them. Students have to work under the guidance of Faculty Guide allocated to them. To select topics of their choice as per guidance from faculties. Topics selected should match their area of interest. Also they should try to modify the SIP project to final project. They can also go for accepting any sales based job provided by the company. This will help them to enhance their Marketing and other related skills.

To go to company and convey the details of company guide ( position held, contact no etc) to their respective faculty guide at the earliest so that faculty guide can coordinate with company guides and can take report of the performance of students as an when required. To visit company daily and make sure to take as many details about the company and the performance of each departments. They should also try to develop good relations with the employees and try to gain as much practical knowledge from them since it will benefit them for their future. To prepare a report of the sector to which the company belong. To prepare report about the company ,its competitor, its consumer ,its products ,its place of operation etc and submit to faculty guides. Such report will help the interns to get a full knowledge about the respective sector and the company.

To report to college one day per week (may be Saturday) and to submit the weekly attendance report duly signed by company guide. They should also report about their progress of their SIP in the company. To complete the target as on time given by the company and to report to faculty guide. They can also report to faculty guides if they face any problem in company during their SIP periods. Finally to submit the reports on the topic of their choice taken on time and in the format as prescribed by the faculty guides.

To conduct lectures for the improvement of interns overall development. (Group discussion, Role plays, Debate, J2M-J5M session, Business quizzes, Guest Speaker-Academicians or Corporate Personality etc.) To conduct competition in the form of presentation for best Report (Sectoral report, Company report Each Faculty guide will select the best 2-3 report from out of the total lots of their intern and competition will be among them). To conduct competition for best SIP report. (Students have to give presentation of the report which they have made for the topic they have chosen- Each Faculty guide will select the best 2-3 report from out of the total lots of their intern and competition will be among them) The first three winners of these competitions will be given prizes on any occasion of 15th August or 26th January.

is the 1st step towards final placement so students be prepared to take the jump. One final placement through SIP will open the door for placement of new students. Differentiate OCIHE students from others in terms of placement. Develop students the branded one for corporate. To create a large Alumni base with students selected in big and esteemed corporate.

any intern is attached to hospital ,then his industry will be Hospitality sector. If any intern is associated with banks ,then he will deal with banking sector. If any intern is associated with manufacturing concern then he will deal with manufacturing sector. If any intern is associated with IT company then he will deal with IT sector In this way intern associated with different companies for SIP should prepare report of that sector in which his company belongs to.
