• INTRODUCTION

• Concrete is A homogeneous material which is great in compression and weak in tension


• To over come this issue we provide extra reinforcement to it.
• Reducing the amount of cast concrete renders the decks lighter and thinner than
• traditional slabs, but without compromising the strength. Because the floor slab uses less concrete and
thus has less dead weight to support, architects can design with longer clear spans

• So here it is difficult to use light weight concrete in all scenarios.


• Here we put forwarding an idea to replacing the cover with more light weight and highly tensile
material called EPOXY.
• With concrete, tensile strength typically measures out at about 10% of the compressive strength
(concrete with 3,000 psi compressive strength results in about 300 lbs of tensile strength). For Epoxy
coatings, a compressive strength of 10,000 psi often has 3,500 lbs tensile strength, raising the
percentage to 35%
