INTRODUCTION

Concrete is A homogeneous material which is great in compression and weak in tension . To

over come this issue we provide extra reinforcement to it.
Reducing the amount of cast concrete renders the decks lighter and thinner than
traditional slabs, but without compromising the strength. Because the floor slab uses less
concrete and thus has less dead weight to support, architects can design with longer clear
spans

So here it is difficult to use light weight concrete in all scenarios.

Here we put forwarding an idea to replacing the cover with more light weight and highly
tensile material called EPOXY.
With concrete, tensile strength typically measures out at about 10% of the compressive
strength (concrete with 3,000 psi compressive strength results in about 300 lbs of tensile
strength). For Epoxy coatings, a compressive strength of 10,000 psi often has 3,500 lbs
tensile strength, raising the percentage to 35%
