BE GOING TO USE: 1. To talk about predictions. That means something based on a present situation. e.g. “Look at that boy on the roof! He is going to fall down! “
2. Intentions: e.g. Sarah is going to sell her car. FORM:

PRESENT CONTINUOUS USE:
1. To talk about arrangements and plans. (I have arranged to do it,
I have a plan to do it). e.g. We are having a party next weekend. I’m going to a concert tomorrow. I’m not working next week.

Present continuous: It has been arranged. Be going to: I’m intending to, but it has not necessarily been arranged.
