I am honored to receive your letter. It’s nice to hear you and your students are going to visit my country.
Next month will be in the summer of Vietnam, the weather will probably be a bit hot and there will be
rain. But don't worry, I believe you will have memorable experiences. I’m very impressed with your
questions, the dishes in Vietnam are very diverse, especially divided by regions. In the south, people often
have breakfast with noodle or bread with a cup of coffee, milk or juice. There are many famous pizza and
hamburger restaurants here such as pizza Hut, pizza 4’P, Mc Donald, KFC,… Vietnamese cuisine is one
of the unique cuisines of East Asia. When coming to Vietnam, everyone must taste pho, it’s one of the
traditional dishes, it’s a dish made from noodle soup, served with beef or chicken and spices like onions.
In addition, people can try dishes such as banh cuon, banh khot-banh xeo, banh trung-banh tet. One of the
staple foods that people eat every day is rice, you can use rice for lunch and dinner served with soups and
stews or boiled vegetables dishes. I hope you can come VietNam and try it. Welcome to Vietnam.
Look forward to meeting you and your student. Let me know the specific time, I will go to the airport to
pick you up.

Your friend,
Tien Dung
