Gallantry awards are given to defence officers,
civilians and armed forces for showing respect to
their bravery and sacrifice for the nation. Gallantry
award was introduced in India after independence
and it has been continued since then. Every year
gallantry awards giving ceremony occurs twice
once on the republic day and the other is on the
Independence Day. All winners take their awards
from the president of India at the Rashtrapati
Bhaban.
The courageous nature and
dedication to the well-being of
country of the army soldiers inspire
me a lot. They live a life full of
sacrifices, honesty and honour
which make them always prepare to
war for the nation even they
sacrifice their life.
The army soldiers live with strong sense of
responsibility and dignity which make them fight
till their last breath. After seeing gallantry awards
winners and its great purpose I have included
courage, discipline and indomitable spirit in my
daily life. I have chosen to live a life full with self-
respect, honesty and dignity to attain my life goals.
I want to be kind in my behaviour to support
others but strong in nature and mentality.
