THE TYPES
OF
BADMINTON
SERVICE
• Badminton Service is the
most important and basic
shot in the game Badminton.
• When done correctly, the
serve can pave the path
to winning point.
• On the other hand, a weak
serve can be severely
punished by the receiving
team, leaving the serving team
In disarray and at a one point
deficit.
LOW SERVE
• This is the most common
serve in Badminton. A low
serve is used to hit the shuttle
top over the net so that it may
land vertically on the front
court of your opponent.
HIGH SERVE
• is used to hit the shuttle high in the
air. It lands on the back court of
your opponent. The main purpose
of high serve is to force your
opponent to use his backhand,
because most of the players are
bad at using their backhand.
• With your group mates
you will perform the low
and high serve.
• You have 5 minutes to ACTIVITY 1
practice the low and high
