Kissan Card is the flagship initiative of the current government as it will transform the agriculture
sector in the province by providing subsidized fertilizers, seeds and pesticides and low-interest

loans. The distribution of cards was initiated by Hon’ble PM on April 26, 2021. So far, more than
350,000 cards have been distributed.

In order to combat the issues of smog stemming from crop burning, the Government of Punjab
