Piura Carnivals

The festivities that take place on the occasion of the

carnivals throughout Peru are a truly important
event in the country, in which the color and
tradition of each of the towns that celebrate it stand
out. In the will always be two essential elements:
water games and the incredible joy of it’s people,
the Piura carnivals start on January 20 of each year.

In Piura, the Sechura and Catacaos festivals are famous, as

were the carnivals in Negritos and Talara in the past.
