Ideal Gas Law
It states that pressure , volume, moles, and temperature of a gas are related to
each other by:
PV= nRT
Where,
P= Pressure
V= Volume
n= No. of Moles
R= Gas Constant (8.314 J⋅K−1⋅mol−1)
T= Temperature(in Kelvin)
k= Constant
Boyle’s Law
At constant temperature, the pressure of a fixed amount of gas varies
inversely with its volume.
Mathematically-
P1V1 = P2V2
=>PV = k
=>P
Charles’ Law
It states that the volume occupied by fixed amount of gas is directly
proportional to its absolute temperature if its pressure is constant.
Mathematically-
=
=> = k
=>V
Avogadro’s Law
Avogadro's law states that the total number of atoms or molecules of a
gas is directly proportional to the volume that the gas occupies Constant
temperature and pressure.
Mathematically-
=
=> = k
=>V
Gay Lussac’s Law
Gay Lussac’s law states that the pressure of a given mass of gas varies
directly with call absolute temperature of the gas when the volume is
kept constant.
Mathematically-
=
=> = k
=>P
