In this time of pandemic, it is a big challenge on how to cater
the needs of learners especially those who are nonreaders and
who belong to the Frustration Level.
As a response to the pressing need to address the reading and
literacy concerns of learners, Calube Integrated School
implemented a localized innovative reading program and utilized
different initiatives and strategies to continue helping struggling
readers through home visitations.
Grade 7 adviser, Charity Anne Camille P. Lamama on
her reading implementation to the students through
visiting them on their respective homes. Her visitation is
done thrice a week, accommodating 5 learners a day.
Rubylean M. Maghanoy, a Grade 8 adviser
implemented her reading remediations and
activities through gathering the learners at one
place for an easy and accessible mentoring.
Janine Maica O. Sagon conducted her reading implementation and
remediation through home visitations with follow-up reading activities
that learners could enjoy and have fun with.

Aside from home visitations, Calube
Integrated School also uses two-way radio
for communicating learners or parents prior
to home visitations. Through this, teachers
