IHHN – Helping Save Lives

• As a holistic healthcare provider working to relieve the pain and


suffering of all, Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) has stepped up
to play its role by setting up Emergency Medical Relief Camps in flood-
impacted areas all over the country
• HHN’s emergency response follows a decentralized, multi-sectoral
model, encompassing mobile medical camps in buses, community
engagement, and distribution of non-medical essential items.
• To create a far-reaching impact, IHHN has also collaborated with
partners from both the private sector and provincial governments,
including WHO, UNICEF, Karachi Relief Trust, and Orange Tree
Foundation.
IHHN Initiatives
Sindh
• IHHN has held 238 Medical Relief Units in more than 15 cities to provide emergency aid to victims of the
calamity.
• Along with essential medicines, laboratory tests and an array of medical services, the units provide
continuous counseling to the displaced population who are suffering from a barrage of illnesses, including
mental health issues, diarrhea, skin infections, urinary tract Infections, acute respiratory infections, and
gastroenteritis.
• Community Engagement Counseling (CEC) sessions have also been conducted on the prevention of
diseases and rational drug use.
• IHHN has also held 22 Malaria-specific Relief Units in Larkana, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Jamshoro, and Dadu to
provide onsite diagnostic testing and treatment
• WHO collaborated with IHHN to open the first ever flood-relief medical camp and diagnostic laboratory in Thatta.
• IHHN and WHO partnered to run Emergency Relief Medical Camps in Sukkur and Larkana

Balochistan
• So far, IHHN has held 102 Medical Relief Units in Lasbela, Khuzdar, Naseerabad, Harnai,
Jaffarabad, Killa Saifullah, and Jhal Magsi, to provide emergency aid to victims of the calamity.

• IHHN has also held 181 Malaria-specific Relief Units in Bolan, Sibi, Jaffarabad, Kohlu, Naseerabad,
Dera Bughti, Jhal Magsi, Washuk, and Sohbatpur to provide onsite diagnostic testing and
treatment. 

• IHHN collaborated with Karachi Relief Trust to set up a 3-day medical relief camp in Uthal
IHHN’S MOBILE MEDICAL BUS HELPS
FLOOD VICTIMS IN BALOCHISTAN
• IHHN, in collaboration with Karachi Relief Trust (KRT), sent its Mobile Medical
Bus, in Uthal, district Lasbela in Balochistan to provide healthcare services to
the flood affected region.
• The bus comprises of family medicine clinics with consultant doctors,
laboratory testing and a pharmacy.
• On day one, the targeted population of the region was 25,000 from 6 different
villages, including Baloch Colony, Shedi Muhalla, Jamali Muhalla, Mochi
Muhalla, Babu Muhalla and Lakha Goth.
• IHHN provided paramedics, midwifery services for antenatal care, post-natal
care including family planning awareness and newborn interventions. IHHN
acknowledges the support of KRT for collaborating in providing relief to the
flood affected population.

KPK
• So far, IHHN has held 37 Medical Relief Units in Nowshera, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan, to provide
emergency aid to victims of the calamity.

• IHHN has also held 5 Malaria-specific Relief Units in Buner and Bannu to provide onsite
diagnostic testing and treatment.

Punjab
• So far, IHHN has held 35 Medical Relief Units in Rajanpur to provide emergency care to victims of
the calamity.

• Non-medical items, including food, clothing, hygiene kits, and mosquito repellents, have been
distributed to vulnerable men, women and children.

• WHO collaborated with IHHN to conduct an emergency relief medical camp in Rajanpur.
