It is considered the largest and most beautiful villa in
Câmpulung. It is located in the northwestern part of the
city, in an amazing park, right on the ridge of the Grui
plateau. The monument belonged to Matei Drăghiceanu, a
prominent figure in public life in Romania, being the
first mining engineer in our country. Villa Drăghiceanu is
of a rare grandeur, with ornaments reminiscent of the
great palaces. It is now in a worrying state of
deterioration, and the small tower on the roof of the
gazebo has been demolished and the ornaments are partially
destroyed. Currently, the current TB hospital operates in
Vila Drăghiceanu

Este considerată cea mai mare şi cea mai frumoasă vilă din
Câmpulung. Ea este localizată în partea de Nord-vest a oraşului,
într-un parc uimitor, chiar pe creasta platoului Grui. Monumentul a
aparţinut lui Matei Drăghiceanu, personalitate marcantă a vieţii
publice din România, fiind primul inginer minier din ţara noastră.
Vila Drăghiceanu este de o măreţie rar întâlnită, având ornamente
ce amintesc de marile palate. Ea se află acum într-un stadiu de
deteriorare îngrijorător, iar micul turn de pe acoperişul foişorului a
fost dărâmat şi ornamentele sunt parţial distruse. În prezent, în Vila
Drăghiceanu funcţionează actualul spital TBC.
