INTRODUCTION

• Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) organisation


• It is an attached office of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry
• It is headed by Director General of Foreign Trade.
• It is responsible for the execution of the export &import policies
in India
MISSION

• The directorate, with headquarters at New Delhi


• Main objective is promoting India’s exports
• Issue scrips/authorization to exports
• Monitors their corresponding obligations through a network of 24
regional offices

• The objective of EPCG is to facilitate import of capital goods for producing


quality goods and services
• Enhance India’s manufacturing competiveness
• This scheme allows import of capital goods for pre-production and post
production at zero customs only
CONCLUSION

• After the implementation foreign trade policy , the import and export among
foreign countries have increased and have become more secured
• Setting up of EPZ and SEZ have also increased foreign investors
