PLANES

It is a fixed-wing aerodynamic, or
aircraft with greater density than air,
equipped with wings and a cargo space,
and capable of flying powered by one or
more engines.
• As the years have passed, airplanes have
evolved little by little, until they became
the only flying vehicle together with the
helicopter
HISTORY OF AVIATION

• The history of aviation dates back to the day when prehistoric man stopped to
observe the flight of birds and other flying animals. Some tried to fly by
imitating birds, using a pair of wings made from a wooden skeleton and
feathers. Many people said that flying was impossible for the capabilities of a
human being. The best known example is the legend of Icarus and Daedalus.
wings were built with feathers and wax to escape. Icarus got too close to the
Sun and the wax on his wings began to melt, causing him to plunge into the sea
and die.
WHY THE PLANES FLY?

• Airplanes fly thanks to the action of a series of forces, both in the horizontal plane and in the
vertical plane. For the aircraft to rise, it is essential that the force produced in the vertical
axis exceeds the weight of the aircraft.
