Who teaches the Class
● Mrs Coates is the primary teacher
of her class, but because it is an
inclusion class at times Mr. Arcona,
the schools special education
teacher, will be there as well as a
caretaker for the special education
students.
What is the class like
● The class is very energetic and
communicative, but the students are
still eager to learn and are able to be
quiet and focused when necessary.
● The class often has themes of
acceptance and inclusion, with many
posters on the wall encouraging
kindness and diversity
● The kids are very friendly to both me
and each other, and often help each
other
● The poster on the right is hanging in
the room
What do they do?
● When I arrive, we work on math for 15
minutes and then go into snack
● After snack, the special education
teacher takes his kids to do private
reading while the rest of the kids do a
group reading
● After group reading, the kids break off
into small groups and work on their
novels
● The current novels are Out of my Mind,
Three Musketeers, and George
Washington Socks
